Where data is transferred, this is generally within the framework of contract processing. In this connection we ensure that our service providers are contractually bound to ensure that data are processed securely, confidentially and correctly.
The personal data are processed primarily in the territory of the European Union (EU), insofar as we have activities in these countries. Storage duration
Personal data are kept for the aforementioned purposes for the period required for the fulfilment of the purposes and to the extent that their storage is not required pursuant to any other statutory retention periods (German Commercial code (HGB), German Tax Code) or other legal reasons. This means that upon the expiry of the statutory retention periods, which generally means 10 years after the expiry of the contract, we erase your personal data.

Right to object
You have the right to object to us at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing and/or market research, without needing to give a reason.
After receipt of your objection, we shall no longer process your personal data for direct marketing purposes and/or market research and shall erase the data if processing for other purposes (for the performance of the contract, for example) is not required.
You also have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to other types of processing which we carry out on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to point (f) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR, setting out your reasons. + Server log files and provision of the websites
Every time somebody visits our website our system automates data and information from the visiting computer system.
The following data are collected when our website is visited:

Websites from which the user’s system accesses our website
Websites accessed via our website by the user’s system
The data are also stored in the log files of our system. These data are not stored together with other personal data of the user.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the system log files is provided by point (f) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR.
Storage in system log files is carried out to ensure that our website works properly. In addition, the data also help us to optimise the website and ensure that our information technology systems are secure. The data are not analysed for marketing purposes in this connection.
The data are erased as soon as they are no longer required for achieving the purpose of their collection. Where the data are stored in system log files, this is after seven days at the latest. It is possible that the data may be stored beyond this time. In this case the user’s IP addresses are erased or anonymised, so that identification of the visiting client is no longer possible.
+ Job applications
This website enables you to submit applications for job vacancies online. In the course of your application we process your contact details as well details submitted by you with respect to your curriculum vitae and qualifications and photos. The data are used exclusively for the application process and are erased after six months. Only key basic details for the purposes of comparisons with previous applications are retained and then erased after 24 months.
The legal basis for the processing of the application data is provided by the consent of the user given in accordance with point (a) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR.

We collect and process the personal data of applicants for the purpose of dealing with the application process, which can also be carried out by electronic means. This is the case in particular where applicants submit application documents by electronic means, for example by e-mail or via a web form on a website. If a contract of employment is concluded with an applicant, the data transmitted for the purpose of processing the employment relationship are stored in compliance with statutory regulations. Where a contract of employment with the applicant is not concluded by those responsible for processing, the application documents shall be automatically erased three months after notice of the decision to turn down the application has been given, provided there are no other legitimate interests of those responsible for processing which are in conflict with erasure. Other legitimate interest in this sense can mean, for example, burden of proof in proceedings pursuant to the German General Act on Equal Treatment (Allgemeinen Gleichbehandlungsgesetz [AGG]).
+ Cookies
A "cookie" is a small data file which is transferred from a website to your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies when you visit our website, buy something, request or personalise information and when you register for specific services. If you accept the cookies on our website, we do not have access to your personal information but, with the help of the cookies, we can identify your computer. + Google Tag Manager
This website uses the Google Tag Manager. Through this service, website tags can be managed through an interface. The Google Tool Manager only implements tags. This means that no cookies are used and no personal data is collected. The Google Tool Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, insofar as these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.
+ Forms
We provide a number of contact forms on our website which you can use for making contact, submitting enquiries and ordering catalogues electronically. When you do this, the data you enter in the input screen and the date and time of registration are stored along with your IP address. Your consent will be obtained for the processing of the data. As an alternative you can also use the e-mail address which is provided. In this case, your personal data that you transmit with the e-mail are stored.
The processing of the personal data from the input screen or the e-mail is used exclusively for the purpose of dealing with the contact you make with us and/or the conversation with you. This is also the required legitimate interest in the processing of the data. The other personal data which are processed are used to prevent misuse of the contact form and ensure that our information technology systems are secure.

We maintain an online presence within the Facebook, Youtube, Linkedin, Xing and Instagram social networks in order to communicate with users who actively use these sites and to inform them about our products and services.
Every time somebody visits our profiles in the social networks, the terms and conditions and data processing policies of their respective operators apply. Unless stated otherwise within the framework of our privacy policy, we process users’ data insofar as they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g. post content on our websites or send us notifications. The submission of personal data on these platforms is always done on a voluntary basis. The personal data in the communications which can be viewed by us or are public communications can be deleted by the user at any time.
